bluey Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 Today I bought a water pistol to use as a cat deterent. I then had an idea; feral pigeons drop on my loft sometimes and are a problem to make fly away without disturbing my own birds. I have decided to acclimatise my birds to the water pistol being fired so that I can then direct a water jet to unwanted ferals , as well as cats. a kind of ps My Mrs saw a cat coming over the fence and gave it 3 squirts. Lets hope it works
Wiley Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 good luck i hope it works mate but i feel abit iffy about it working with the ferals for some reason.
bluey Posted January 28, 2007 Author Report Posted January 28, 2007 What I mean is a more direct hit with water rather than with a stone or pebble thrown by hand.
Wiley Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 yes i understand that but i dont know still feel abit iffy,as i normally get feral pigeons in my garden, and the slight movement even by me scares this feral into the air and this triggers a reaction in my pigeons who are of in the air.Thats all and my pigeons are very tame for those that know me and are used to irregular movements as when there babies i have baloons in the sheds??
ticeye Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 have used pump pressurised water pistol as a cat deterent for the last few years great tool they dont half jump
