Guest jason Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 As you should all be aware our kids have a 'promote the sport club' on our website, I don't want to stand on Coxy's toes (with his breeder buyer) but if we could get together and get the birds here, our kids could race them as a one loft race. this is how it would work for instance, someone puts a bird in and someone else buys it for £25, our kids then race it in the mighty Border amal. ( 8 races rangeing from 60 to 300 mile) all results will be placed on pigeon basics and our website. the best birds (1st 2nd and 3rd) averages over the season we split the money, 25% of takings to 1st place breeder,25%of takings 1st place buyer 15% of takings to 2nd place breeder,15% of takings to 2nd place buyer 10% of takings to 3rd place breeder, 10% of takings to 3rd place buyer. This would really boost the sport, but I need numbers I'll close the poll at 8pm wed 7th feb. have a think about it. jason
Guest coxy Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 sorry m8 but i have given everyone the opportuntity to get the kids involved i have e-mailed webmaster and even sortd birds out with ppl and prizes and i have dontations frm loacal fanciers so im against it soz m8
Guest coxy Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 dnt wan sound harsh here but the whole idea of what i was doin was to get the birds spread abwt the uk to see how the cope in different enviroments ect ect to see what peoples birds can really do they wpuld also b raced in the clubs against top fanciers not just a one loft race tht we always have on pb year in year out
Guest jason Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 I have to say, The wife thinks its a bad idea, shes worried about us being held resposible if something went wrong for instance, if we lost all the birds. We'll leave the vote running but if we ALL decide to do it then we need RULES and REGULATIONS in place so we're not held responsible. cheers jason

Guest jason Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 There wouldn't be any money made all the money would go to the best average 1st 2nd and 3rd bird of the season, none to me, none to charity.ALL back to the fanciers who enter. we'll see how the poll goes and if it goes ahead coxy could run the sale side of it if he wants to. jason
paul l Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 and i have to say u will need permition frm ur local concil as there will b money being made frm it and even tho sum is for charity all of it is not so go for it and gud luck bcuz u will need it once again thanks for the kick in the balls lads why cant people do both im sorry but what jason is doing with the kids is good and bringing awarnece to the sport for next generation which we need dosent mean yurs cant go ahead as well coxy and theres no need to get into an argument over it mate just c what people want give it a chance come on paul
Wiley Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 ^^exactly what i said a minute ago, your 100% right
pigeonscout Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 Jason I did you not say your new loft would be 6ft+4ft and have you thought about how much it is going to cost you to train theses birds 5 days a week from 25mile +
Guest jason Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 We would have to check Things over about running it. I'll put pen to paper tommorow and see about some terms and conditions. P.S. had a pm from coxy and its all sorted. jason
Guest jason Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 as for training, we would still have to train the kids birds anyways so we aint bothered about that. we can take them at same time as ours, we go 20 mile 6 days per week. We could make the loft a little bigger, as I said we need numbers. jason
Guest jason Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 We've set wheels in motion this morning, but we've had a few obstacles in the way, I'll add the details to the forum tonite. cheers jason
