monday nigth i heard like a pigeon rustleing its feathers about 12pm and anyway i thoiugth i was hearing things anyway i carried on to sleep and yesterday i was sorting out the pigeons moving them around ect ect and i found i was 1 missing i thougth oh it would be back anyway nigth fell and my mate was around in my room (a young pigeon flyer also) and i said i was a pigeon missing and then i clocked on it could be down the chimly anyway there is a vent in my room so i took it off and put i ligth in there  and there it was so i cougth it and could not fit it though the hole so i got a hammer and made it bigger so icould get the pigeon out so anyway i got it out in the end. thougth the pigeon may of bieng had by a hawk.

well done westy for getting your pigeon out of the chimney stack, o k it was messy but you saved your pigeon from a certain death, good work

You were lucky you could reach it - my chimney bird cost me £100! :o  £50 for the sweep to sweep it down and then another £50 for him to fit a wire cowl on to prevent it happening again.  Blow me if the bloomin' bird didn't get lost a week later!!   ::) ;D

Don't know if its easy to get to the chimney pot, Westy, but sounds like fitting a wire mesh cap over it might be a good idea.

 

OR replace the ventilator in your bedroom  with a sputnic ;D
