deb Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 One of my birds which I have been training has dropped the end flight on either wing.I was wondering how long it will take for them to grow back. The new flights are sticking out about an inch. Thanks Deb.
Tony C Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 As a rough guide a flight will grow at a rate of 1/4 inch a day.

Thanks Deb. hi deb,,, depends where u are and how many races u got left but if u only got a couple ov weeks left i think u best puttin that bird away till nxt yr as it wont fly as it goin 2 b sore and goin 2 take @ least 2 weeks 2 grown in
Guest IB Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 No10 takes forever to grow in, and the bird will be reluctant to fly (never mind race) during this period - so it is basically grounded for the best part of a month.
pjc Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 takes 3 weeks to grow but as has been said when they throw the 8th flight its time to stop them for next year let alone the 9th & 10th as the wing tip will be very sore!
