Guest jason Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 I think the longer they stay down (out of the sky) the better, they'll start flying when you cut the corn down (to get them under control). In other words... THERE IS NO RUSH!! ;D Jason

Guest Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 Ours just walking about the staging atthe min, only been out about 4 times , funny little things, looking at a balckbird soft lol, then looking up at seagulls etc. used to have the youngsters going through the stall trap, but found now with open doors they are far more relaxed i sit with them on the staging. then you always get one who will want to fly on your head etc.

Guest Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 Have weaned 3,another 2 tomorrow.Just been in and cleaned out and 2 oldest wre up on perches, couldn't get down!,don't know how long they had been there but they were sure ready for some lunch when I lifted them down![embarrassing] I think they would have been able to come down, only maybe a little nervous about coming to ground, no need to be embarrased. Ive moved youngsters from the nest before now, and 'woosh' up they go to the top perch. you have done the correct thing in moving them to the floor. this year there was just one youngster that wouldnt come to the floor to eat with the others but after bringing him/her down and with a bit of coaxing it soon realised what eating was all about!!
