Guest Vic Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 At the last issue of White/Grey rings, I coated, my rings with what I thought were hens, with coloured nail varnish, to seperate the sexes so easily. and to do away with excessive plastic rings. Checked it out with Bob Moffatt at the time. He replied, NO problem. So simple, but it really does work , right throughout the yb programe. Simply keep the varnish remover close at hand, if you can't tell your *expletive removed* from, your elbow. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
jimmy white Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 good one, , aint seen any rule against it,, , :)but if you painted it red could you see the numbers?,,
DOVEScot Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 Good idea but you would have to control bird till varnish dried, woudn't it be dangerous to the bird if they pecked at it
Guest Vic Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 Varnish dries within seconds, so no problems I put my ideas forward to benefit everyone everywhere, old hand or novice, which some don't give me credit for. Obviously, you don't use a dark hue to mark rings. But try it! and it will save you all a few bob at the end of the day.
