i would kick of in saying its not that very often you see a bird in such a condition , that it allmost tells you itself,,  ive found when they come into this extra special condition, they look differant act differant , their colour sticks out, their eye blinks so fast you can hardly see it blink, their  body will quiver , their eye sparkles like a diamond, they handle like cork , warm to the feel , fete warm :)theyll go off and fly on their own for hours sometimes , theyll eat less,, there are many more aspects of this condition ,, but when this condition comes and if it comes ,, the bird will win

if it was a widdowhood cock you would tell by tthe way he was in flight

claping and bouncing about no end chasing anything that moved

also he would not want to eat as much at all

that would be my pooler

the ones in these conditions that hasnt been added is the  cooing while in flight.Jimmy is defaintly right there colour seems to change. Theres also a thing i like to see while there bathing called the ring of confidence thats when i know there in tip top form you rarely see it but when it comes its a dead cert

I have noticed they also slightly change colour. Their eye ceres look like they have mascara on them. When handling, their bodies are like cork, bouyant, and you feel their muscles slightly flexing / pushing in your hand. Feathers look that tight you can't hardly see the shape of them. A noticeable increased testosterone fueled aggressive singing & dancing atittude on their box fronts, like they are demanding their hens from you! Sometimes in their eyes you can see a black splash shooting out of the Iris, or a red "form" spot on their keelbone!

must say i forgot about the" mascara" but another sure sign,, about the ring of confidence , i have noticed this on birds in good condition ,, but really i have found the opposite  , when the bird are in this very unusual condition, very difficult to explain, ive found they wont even take a bath [ you usually only get one in this super, super nick , this really over the top nick , the dazzle the shine, the sheer fitness sticking out, hard to explain , but when you see it youll never forget it] ,, one thing for sure is ,its a sheer joy to watch  :)
