Does the sparrow hawk get it's name from mainly feeding on sprarrows, because of its size or maybe it was discovered by a man called sparrow? :)

 

The sparrow population is deminishing maybe that's why he is attacking more pigeons

 

If they are protected and multiplying as they seem to be, then their natural food source is bound to suffer, surely this is an argument against the chosen few !!!

I think we should just call it the pigeonhawk because of the lack of sparrows.
