chickadee Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 What happens when a cock doesn't come home to his hen and chicks, will she cope on her own? The chicks have just got their feathers in but not fully yet, will the female cope on her own or will she need a bit of help? Will she be depressed for a while? :'( :'( :'(
Guest speckled Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 :-/ hi chicadee, she will bring up the y/bs on her own as the hen nor the cock will abandon, the off spring, but if ya can place one y/b under another pair it would help the hen, but as long as ya not going to race that hen she will be fine Speck.
