Guest Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 Just read cage and aviary this disease is on the increase its a type of canker and has an effect on the birds of prey ,a couple of redtailed hawks beleived to have been released into the wild and feeding on feral pigeons have contacted this frounce as they call it remember a number of years ago they were telling us not to treat for canker as it has an effect on birds of prey , so maybe we should all abstain from canker treat ments :D :D

Guest Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 two of these birds are red tailed hawks FROM AMERICA not native birds,they are found with jeeses on etc and have this disease well one has the others deed ,they were found free flying in the northants area living on feral pigeons were tyhey released into the wild our did the escape makes you wonder anyways point is what did the rspb do about as they are not native toour shores remember the eagle owls in yorkshire that did not last long after theproggramme about them ,its not only these birds that are suffering from it but greenfinches sparrows etc its on the increase no more cankering for me percy wants one of ma doos then he take sits canker as well ;D ;D ;D
