Guest TAMMY_1 Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 I will post up the exact date and details of this sale just as soon as I get them, the circumstances that brought about this sale are a real tradgedy: Uddingston & District Homing Club will be holding a Young Bird Sale, with all proceeds going to Mr Robert Mullen & family, a member of our club who tragically lost his son Jay, at the age of only 10 years. This young lad was ever present at race marking nights on Fridays, always eager to give a hand on the ringer. He was very keen on the pigeons, forever encouraged by his dad, Robert, and his grandad, Matt, both being very successful fanciers themselves. The actual sale will be advertised in the B.H.W. in a couple of weeks time, with all information about the sale. Young birds have been pledged by some of the most successful fanciers in the Federation and S.N.F. clubs. Officials, Members and their families would wish to convey their condolences to Robert, Matt and the Mullen family at this sad time."
