Guest HEATHLOFTS Posted April 2, 2010 Report Posted April 2, 2010 I WOULD SAY A COUPLE OF WEEKS IS ENOUGH, AND YES THEY CAN FLY ONE I HAD FLEW 4 MILES yh they can i guy down the road with a dovecote had a load of white doves and one big fantail cock and they all use to fly away at night and come back for food in the morning and he was bigger than my fantails
Guest peter4pm Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 would i be more safe in saying keep them in for 3 weeks :L 2 weeks is plenty ...get them out in the flight cage ect to see the surroundings and you should be fine
Guest Mav Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 My first garden doves that i put in the dovecote under a net, still flew off after a month not to be seen again, Dont know if keeping them in a loft would be different.
Guest HEATHLOFTS Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 yh i was asking because i had white doves go after a round of y/bs a few years back :-/ and they can see out all the time being a open fronted loft
