hi, my 2 early bred 2005 birds laid a couple of eggs, smaller than the norm, was going to throw them, but a local gave me 2 eggs to put under them as he was going to throw them, & i presumed mine was infertile so i give it a go, anyway, they hatched & 1 died 3 days old trampled on i think, but the other now about 13 days old keeps on jumping out the nest bowl & squeeking all day? hes very big & healthy looking , is this normal? as its a long time ago since i bred them (20 yrs plus)

Snowy if the young bird is running round and sueaking all the time it sounds as though it is not getting enough food, I would put a pot of maple peas in a small pot in the nest bow and keep it filled up so the parents have corn to feed it allday long then you will  soon see the squeaker feeding it self as it gets older.
