Guest TAMMY_1 Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 while this thread is on about couriers, i did send a letter to shu secretary Linda Brooks and asked her if she could not contact any companies to try and organise something and the other day i got a letter back from her and she told me she had put the question to SPDS who at present deliver and pick up anywhere in scotland for £12.50 and said she would let me know what happens .

Guest Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 Please dont tell me Amtrak are bad with deliveries, I have to send for a bird collection on Tuesday and I am waiting for a delivery today. NOw my stress levels have gone from "blimey" to "damn". :B :X :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( They don't always mess up so keep calm. The driver this end that picks up is a pigeon fancier , and he knows the problems so he does his best to get the bird on its way and in good time, i have never had a problem.
Okitsme Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 I have just had my birds delivered and they were picked up yesterday at 9 so I am happy and the birds look ok too. Lets hope the one for next week goes just as well. ;D
Guest Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 Personally I've had no problems with Amtrack. Looking at this thread tho, with independant couriers serving different places in England, and one doing all of Scotland, seems a pity they can't collaborate and provide a rival service to Amtrack. And in the racing season, we have transporters covering the country. Seems strange that we can't negotiate an arrangement for stray return, sanctioned by DEFRA.
barlbylofts Posted June 6, 2007 Author Report Posted June 6, 2007 yeah would be a good ides bruno but amtrake wont agree to do such a thing wont be anough in it for them
barlbylofts Posted June 6, 2007 Author Report Posted June 6, 2007 geraint parry dont panic in most placers amtrake are good. its just on the odd acasion i have had bad times, its just with this bird i not taking any chances im lucky to get him back so makeing sure he gets here ok mark barlbylofts
