DOVEScot Posted July 28, 2007 Author Report Posted July 28, 2007 Thought we had one here - oops, sorry, thought that said funny farm. ;D Bruno.....To me that's funny, but to me and others that's an opening :)
Webmaster Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 Why do moderators remove posts when they are hijacked and go off the subject, the only one that seems to deal with it correctly is Bruno. He deletes the crap and leaves the valid points running. I suggested before that if a post or thread is removed then there should be a reason posted. Bruno might not be Mr Popular but at least he is consistant Or are the rules set in stone by the webmaster and his so called "moderators" Often threads are moved to a more suitable board - for example I moved a couple yesterday onto the members photos board. Nothing harmed, nothing removed, simply keeping the forum organised. We all try to strip a topic of hijacking as you say. And hijacking is a problem that I wish to clamp down on, the forum was setup to ask questions and help, not run a mockery.

DOVEScot Posted July 30, 2007 Author Report Posted July 30, 2007 i think youll find hes on more than you think ;D now ;D Then why do we always get moderators making excusses that the webmaster is too busy to deal with matters on the site. I personally never see him logged on. Or is he one of the guests that hover in the background, like the eight we have hovering now ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D antwerptom03, bart, Bluedoo, DOVEScot, Paulo and 8 Guests ??????????
Webmaster Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 your never on webmasterso how can you clamp down on anything? "I wish to clamp down on" - this may be through my own actions as you suggest, or indirectly the consequence of my actions. Regarding comments of my 'time'. The forum is only one part of Pigeonbasics. Pigeonbasics is only one of my areas of involvement with pigeons. And pigeons are only one part of my life. I'm sure you can respect that I cannot be on the forum all night, every night; my family, my work, my education, my pigeons, amongst others require my time and effort. Regardless of which, often I have no internet connection in the evening and as such monitor the website at other times of the day, such as now.

I agree that you do have a life outside the site, like everyone else. Thats why you deploy moderators, doesn't help when they throw in comments like this which contradict you Veteran of the Loft!! He knows perhaps more than most do, in that recently I was in Scotland on two seperate occasions - about 5 days total, I've been to Jersey recently - 2 weeks, and at these times wasnt online at all.

When he states you are on more than we think, we all know from the "users browing forum" when users are on, or are you just browsing in the backgroung as a guest?

jimmy white Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 i think youll find hes on more than you think ;D now ;D please read carefully before you comment ,,,read the last word ,,,,,,,,,",now"
sherlock Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 please read carefully before you comment ,,,read the last word ,,,,,,,,,",now" Then why did you not put just the last word in "now" if you did not mean any of the rest :-/
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 Then why did you not put just the last word in "now" if you did not mean any of the rest :-/ thought u would have worked that out for yourself with you being a clever detective sherlock ;D ;D
sherlock Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 thought u would have worked that out for yourself with you being a clever detective sherlock ;D ;D Better if they just plead guilty, saves me uncovering the facts that they try to disguise to throw us of the trail ;D Maybe moderators should be redeployed as polititions :-/
Guest Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 I presume you meant politicians I would have thought a man as educated as yourself could spell that ;D Well he is only a man Rose afterall, what can we expect?. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
DOVEScot Posted July 30, 2007 Author Report Posted July 30, 2007 Nobody has forced you to come here DOVEScot and if you have a complaint against any of us moderators and what we do I suggest you do it in the proper manner and speak to webmaster about it A bit narrow minded, surely if you join a site you are allowed to air your views. This thread has had 64 posts and 888 views must be something in it Maybe if you read it from the start, I am only asking a question and at times being flipant like yourself at times. I just want to know why moderators have different ways of doing their job, some fair and consistant, some not???
Webmaster Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 When he states you are on more than we think, we all know from the "users browing forum" when users are on, or are you just browsing in the backgroung as a guest? The way that I (or anyone else) view(s) the forum is of concern only to me (themselves). Your concern may be that I do monitor the forum. And I do.
