mobster Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 is it advisable to mix powdered milk with pigeon feeds?
Guest shadow Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 not for racing it may help when rearing personaly I don't
T_T Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 Mobster, There is a previous post on babies milk. I had never heard of youngsters being reared that way or raced that way so I tried the first round rearing on it. Personally it didn't do anything for me that made my eyes pop out of my head and claim that the youngsters were any better looking or better reared than any others. I reverted back to feeding Beans, Barley, Pellets in equal amounts on their own, with vits/min. ( cheaper as well ) Lovely youngsters and what I have found is that you don't rear youngsters that are fat or baggy at the back end. I do know though that some other users of this forum value babies milk.
jimmy white Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 ive used powdered baby milk in their water whilst rearing, found the ybs very healthy, with firm droppings
Guest Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 I followed Jimmy's advice and added three scoops of Baby milk powder to a gallon of water for 30 days after the YB's were weaned off. Cracking healthy babies
mobster Posted July 11, 2006 Author Report Posted July 11, 2006 ive just seen it on the feeds of fighting cocks . they mix chopped carrots, cheese, milk, honey with the grains. just thinking if it will also be appropriate feeding it with pigeons
