Speedy Ste Posted November 9, 2006 Author Report Posted November 9, 2006 Oh right the floor just looked like it had some sort of white powder down. I was just wondering what it was. Thank You.
Speedy Ste Posted November 9, 2006 Author Report Posted November 9, 2006 Is this your loft Mealy Bar? Steve

rockinrick Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 yea i use the same stuff i put in the nest boxes during breeding time it seems to get cocks to dance more lol
Speedy Ste Posted November 10, 2006 Author Report Posted November 10, 2006 So you don't have to put anything else down, once you put this stuff down? At the moment, I am using wood shavings, and to fill my 12 x 6 loft is costing a fortune! and I am finding it an absoulate nightmare, keep the garden clean with it. I am just looking for a cheap solution to keep my loft clean, my pigeons happy, and having to dealing with the hassle of the shavings blowing all over the Garden, everytime I enter the loft! Steve
Guest shadow Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 try easi-bed its not as bad as shavings, but if you want a really clean garden revert to scraping daily at least
john robo Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 i use columbine floorwhite, costs £8 - £9 a sack, took a week or so to take hold on my new ply board floor. i scrape out once a day (5 sections) takes about 45 mins. for me it better than shaving or chippings, i have tried both but after ive cleaned i like to give the birds some redband on the floor watch them feed, run around my feet. most of them feed out of my hand and if there any bad poops you see it better on a clean floor. just think its just a lot cleaner and healthier for the birds and me.
Speedy Ste Posted November 11, 2006 Author Report Posted November 11, 2006 Hi John, how big is the sack? also how long does it last you? Steve
