Wiley Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 fifer sparrow hawk nearly caught one in flight 2day.but i keep an eye on them when they are out i think everyone does but dont u think the birds seem attracted by them they seem to head away from them and back to them its strange but once there in the air we cant do nowt
stevebelbin Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 I wouldnt let mine out in bad weather for my sake not the birds. But I wouldnt force them out, just open the door and clean out around them, if they want to stay in then its up to them (in my loft anyhow) until race season then there on a strict routine!!!
Ronnie Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 if i had any broke to this new house i would leave the door open and let em come and go as they please for a few hours each day. The old flier is probably just trying to help out with advice.Dont be rude just be tactfull and say something like " i just love to see em fly".Then again if he is winning out of turn follow his advice
birdman55678 Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Ignore any advice you don't care to listen to. The birds themselves will soon let you know if your doing right or wrong. Lots of the problems now seems to be coming from advice that has been given that may not have been in the best interest of those receiving it. Ed
