I am Having a new pan tiled roof  Put On My Lofts But Dont Know what type is the best  To Get ? WHATS THE BEST TYPE OF TILE TO LET THE AIR ESCAPE

I HAVE BEEN TOLD DOUBLE ROMAN ?

WHAT TYPE OF PEAK IS THE BEST ?

SOME ARE A STANDARD APEX ,SOME ARE STEEP AT THE FRONT AND A LONG BACK ?

SHOULD I HAVE SOME CLEAR TILES IN THE FRONT ?

SHOULD THE TRUSSES OVER LAP AT THE FRONT OR BACK TO ALLOW AIR TO TRAVEL IN ?

I used double roman with ventilated ridge tiles to each section mine was normal apex ridge as it joined onto my garage roof and was in keeping with all the surrounding roofs. :)

none of the modern tiles are suitable they all need ridge vents and as many vents as you can fit on the back of the loft it is the old tiles like the ones used on the old farm buildings that give good ventelation the ones when you stand under them you see day light every where the new ones are all tight fitting to save heat loss and coserve energy the cheapest vents are a 4" slate piece with a 2ft cutting of 4" pipe through it and a mushroom vent cover all bought from plumbing suppliers(wolsley centers and the like)
