I think you are right, but dunno about the terminology you are using.

My fed Normanton is also havibg a sale,ie Breeder/Buyer.

Where you can enter a bird into the sale (Breeder) and anyone can buy that bird (Buyer), later in the Y/Bird season at a Centraly marked Fed race those same birds (if enterd) can then fly for a pot of money.

It usually pays out 50/50 to the Breeder/Buyer after the Fed has deducted its cut.

And yes it would be to both parties advantage if the bird was entered and only fair to the Breeder who has donated the bird for FREE.
