jupiter_19630
My fed is holding a futurity sale. Does this mean that there is a future race for pigeons bought at that sale and are buyers obliged to enter the birds they bought?

mO
I think you are right, but dunno about the terminology you are using. My fed Normanton is also havibg a sale,ie Breeder/Buyer. Where you can enter a bird into the sale (Breeder) and anyone can buy that bird (Buyer), later in the Y/Bird season at a Centraly marked Fed race those same birds (if enterd) can then fly for a pot of money. It usually pays out 50/50 to the Breeder/Buyer after the Fed has deducted its cut. And yes it would be to both parties advantage if the bird was entered and only fair to the Breeder who has donated the bird for FREE. Hope the above helps mO. jupiter_19630
Yes I think thats clear. And I agree it would be unfair to buy a bird and not enter it into a race linked to the sale depiving the donor a shot at the prizes. Cheers. mO
The best thing to do is to TRY and donate a bird as well and double your chances, especially if it goes to a better flyer. It also a way to test your birds under diffiernt management. mO.

jupiter_19630
I won't be able to donate as I won't have any birds old enough to pen. But I'll go along and give my support and see if I can spot any old faces from the club I used to race with in the 70's. If prices arnt too steep I might buy myself a bird or two. Cheers guys.
