Just curious as to how folk have done with Pigeon Petes FREE birds he gave away this year

yes quite agree,, free ones are good their free :-/ :-/ :-/ ;D  with the right management and the right know how , they have as much chance as any

thanks for the start of the thread little grizz so far i have had a report of 2nd club 2nd fed and 3rd club 16th fed, both van reets, so no winners as far as i know yet, but over half of the people who had the birds failed to even say thanks when they had recieved them :-/ so i doubt i will hear anything of those

 

hope someone breeds me some free ones early on next year am joining the big national so will need a few more birds around me

did say thanks to you for mine pete, the two of them are flying super, i have hardly raced any but the two are both here and flying great, dare say i could supply you with another pair again next year because u had a good race with mine ,hope u still have them

yes tam it would be an honour to have some more off you, still got both, the hen was the 1 that was 2nd, and 3rd the week after, but unfortuanatly now the lack of feathers has caught up with them ;D ;D darkness for m e next year

pete m8 you are welcome to some ybs next season if you want some jus let me know m8 , the strains i have are osmans and staff van reets  , the osmans have jus got me 2nd 3rd club

i had 2 of pete one went down on the first race but the other one a grizzle hen should have won 2 races but shes turned out to be a bad trapper , the first race she was 1st bird home but the next 2 races she hasnt forgot me picking her up she just sits on the ridge and looks at me...............

just wanted to fetch this to the top again!! was just thinking as not many of the fanciers ever contacted me to even say thanks for the birds i bred for them, well there was quite a few "new starters " etc, from staffordshire/ west midlands area from what i recall, never thought anything of it at the time, just thought they were ungrateful, but i wonder how many of them were COXY??? getting them for free and selling them on?? :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ > suppose i will never know now, but it spoils it for the genuine ones, as i will think twice in future

pete if u remember the ring numbers...ring the rpra and they will give u the new owners if any? ask them who they had the birds off....paul
