Guest Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 Paul form the time I got involved in pigeon administration in South Wales (1971) till he time I left the valleys in 1989, there were only a handfull of fanciers that ever flew s / se. I was amazed when the valleys turned south? People refer to the UNC being huge but the Welsh North Rd Fed and there many others in South Wales, was liberating 28,000 birds at its first yb race Ludlow 48 mile to me at the time!! Paul can you or nayone else shed light on why they did?
EAGLEOWL Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 taffy bowen one of the best pigeonmen i ever met a giant

Paul can you or nayone else shed light on why they did? hiya m8, i believe that many flyers were fed up of racing the north route and with many also flying direct south as well, they must have decided that s/east was an option and that flying s/east was similar to flying south...so that they could switch each week and their birds would almost be coming from same directions some races. the new north road fed(welsh) is like a big club race these days(small birdage),we moved from that fed and joined the welsh north road. ...paul

Guest Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 there is 3 options, the 1st option on view is s/east, the 3rd option not on view is similar to wot we have now...why they havent placed in the comebacks is beyond me....paul.
Pompey Mick Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 Perhaps they are considering North Road comebacks to facillitate a possible switch North should the dreaded Avian Flu scuttle Channel racing, a move I would like to see my Fed make. I've no fear of switching birds N-S and vice versa. It could be a sensible precautionn to make.

Guest neil Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 Paul Pleased to see a return to 5 over the water(just hope the national follows suit) Your Fed has moved in the right direction and declared its intention and not sat on the fence waiting for the combine to tell them what they will be flying.
thunderboult Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 what will happen if they decide on a programme and the combine are not going to the same places will they go on their own
