chocolate racing pigeons

Has anyone got or tried Louella's Meuleman Chocolate pigeons??

If so, how did you do with them........any good?

I know several people who have tried them without much succes racing but if they happen to throw bl.ch. the young do well

not to imply they are not good but i have owned one it was an  excellent show pigeon and excelled at eyesign, but its prodigy did not last and frromj the pigeons i have seen and the good reports on your svr and rl's i would stick with them but only my opinion and is your £, just a compliment to the birds you currently have

I tried some about 10 years ago......i think they were 'show homers' :-/

hi ive got a 04 dk ch h bred from a louella choc x abraspenning this hen has been as far as 335mls N & 290 mls S a very reliable pigeon

Never had any wouldn't whether to fly them or eat them Is there no info on the louella website they usually do a bit on the strains that are still popular.

Not much success with chocolate pigeons, but how many are raced? If you think of all the blues and cheq's that race, and how many of them are winners? It's no wonder you see so few winning coloured birds. Nothing to do with the colour, just statistics and odds.

maybe the hawks like them a lot better than the normal colours  ;D ;D ;Dand thats y they never win  ;D ;D

i had a chocolate coloured dog too last year, it melted after easter though

I have been trying to get hold of some of the pure Meuleman lines for sometime now, the Meuleman racing pigeons are in great demand at the moment, i have currntly just brough 1 pair 1 of which is a pencil pied and the other which is a chocolate colour hen, i am hoping to buy another pair shortley to complete my stock team,

 

the meuelman family have a good repuation and have been responsible for a few top national performances although i have noticed a lot of people cross them,
