stevebelbin Posted November 3, 2007 Report Posted November 3, 2007 Just a quick word of warning it anyone does think of using heaters, i use simple bar heaters that Boddy and Ridewood sell and i didnt cover them with mesh when i fitted them. A few of the birds perched on them and burnt their feet, so make sure you get the mesh frame with them.
jimmy white Posted November 3, 2007 Report Posted November 3, 2007 as i said b4 black minerals contain mostly salt ,, if this is dry powdery good ventilation and humidity , this can be accomplished by heaters , fresh air, or even just heaters , the choice is with the fancier,,,, but a galley pot of damp black minerals, will cause many problems , a haven for cocci ,worm oocysts etc etc ,
