Hello all, I have the green light to go ahead and try this . I would appreaciate any feedback or suggestions. I am working on getting a loft built.I was thinking 10x8 (starter loft). I have met some great locals willing to donate some good birds to me when i'm ready. Can someone suggest a game plan for me ,if i start in july? I know its too late to compete,so what should i do? I am eager to start something this year.   ANY IDEA??

get your loft built, then learn all about feeding, and then the pigeons training, and then race next year,

ok,I was thinking getting some late young birds, so i can train them for next years  old bird races. This also gets my feet wet, since i am new...lol. 8 birds to few? what ya think?  thought this might be good to warm up with.

8s not bad thats what i started with but rember, not all of these birds might not make it the next year, so take it easy and carfully, never never rush into things, or you will have no more birds left after training, ;)

i am in glenburnie maryland.

Thats  almost to far to drive here to get birds, I'm sure there are flyers closer that will give you some birds. But if you can get here I fix ya up with some breeders that have been raced and were stocked after. I'm about 40 miles north of Pittsburgh,PA
