I am looking for someone that does white dove release in gloucestershire, I have searched the internet and all the companys i can find wont travel to gloucester as they are based to far away. The release is for a wedding so two birds would be needed. If anyone can help this forum is my last option as i know that the doves that are used are actually white pigeons. any suggestions welcome

Talking of dove release, we've just had a phone call from someone asking to buy two white doves for to release at a wedding next week.  :o

I told him that he would certainly not get any of our birds, as they have to be trained to come home, and that you can't just buy birds and release them into the wild. I WAS SO SHOCKED AT THIS CALL, STILL NOT OVER IT. :o :o :o

Hope you sent them off with a flea in their ear.  People i have spoken with outside of the pigeon world about relasing birds, have no understanding or care for the birds welfare.  Makes me mad :o

quite true..........................the birds must return home safely...that is the most important point!!!

My birds are trained regualrly and have dones so within a 60 mile 'radius' of the lofts......

Unscrupulous releasers dont have a clue and will send anything to an occasion to make a quick buck............................these birds invariably starve to death, adn they have no homiong instincts to get home.....failing that they hang about where they have been released causing a nuisance..and are generally disposed of as pest...... >:( >:( >:(...

that is not what we are about
