;D i have found that some cocks and hens produce only cocks , other pairings only hens . even when given new partners some will produce mainly or only one sex . this coming year (all going well) i intend to pair a hen (who in the past has only produced cocks) to a cock who has only produced hens (and hens flew well as ybs) therefore new pairing hopefully will provide me with some future widowhood cocks  ;D as to colour dominating for Dunc and Carol , same applies with the whites youll just have to wait & see which pairings produce mainly cocks or hens if you want to balance the sexes out in future i suggest coloured marker rings (matched) and keep a record of what each pair produces  ;D ;D ;D ;D                                        andy

Cheers, that should make an interesting study, may just try that on ourselves.

We just seem to have and other fanciers seem to have and abundance of cocks, as a boy and having started up myself even top fanciers state that you get one from each nest, but finding out through time it cannot be true :-/

Very welcome, just glad to help

If you are very interrested in the subject you can try typing "pigeon sex linkage" in to google search, if you do post a link if you find something interresting

I will do thanks. :)
