Guest Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 and how is it dragging the forum down ??? i think its great that fanciers look after newbies like me and warn of potential rip off merchants,, id rather join a forum that does this than not What happened was a group of people decided they would jump on new people coming on the site and put them thro the third degree, everyone a potential crook until they prove themselves not to be. At least one person who had simply come on asking where he could buy pigeons was not amused by this and tarred us all here with the same brush. We were being made out to be gullible folk and a potential target for real crooks. One member described that time 'as this forums darkest days.' Time to move on .....
DOVEScot Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 and how is it dragging the forum down ??? i think its great that fanciers look after newbies like me and warn of potential rip off merchants,, id rather join a forum that does this than not How can it be dragging the forum down when it was not the forums fault, but he still is a member and still tries to log on, I personally think he has more than the three names listed in red See how easy it is to talk about him, and if his name gets mentioned on the site, I am the one that gets the backlash (not that I care) but when I get blamed for other things I do not do, I will argue in my defence, and some do not like it :-/ This has nothing to do with him it is the fact that posts are deleted for little or no reason at all. And the way it is done
Guest Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 i think there has and will continue to be dark days on here...there will always be a subject that wont be ok for some.
DOVEScot Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 If you are going to quote me, kindly quote correctly and in the correct context. I will not be singled out as the only moderator you have had a difference in opinion with - frankly you have had a difference of opinion with every moderator, and the webmaster too, and your opinion of us as a group was more than plain in your thread. I still look forward to the day when you create your own website and pigeon forum and then we'll all come there and behave just the same way and post the same crassness as you do here, and show you exactly the same respect. And the time of the quote, or more correctly, misquote, was long before Coxy, but on the same theme - bad behaviour on the forum.. Then correct my quote Bruno :-/
THE FIFER Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Not sure what or if anything can be done about that so it stands out more same as the Code of Conduct perhaps that should be something that everyone has to read and agree to abide by before they are allowed to join the site most sites you have to rose,
Guest Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Then correct my quote Bruno :-/ Thursday, September 27, 2007, 10:27am DoveScot, to be honest you are part of the problem, a small group that continually spoils it for others, and one of the first to bleat 'no fair' when you are pulled up. How many times do you need pulled up? 1, 100, 200, 1000 forever??? My guess is forever. My advice is if you don't like the conventions to which the vast majority abide, take your group and your act elsewhere. http://www.pigeonbasics.com/forum/blah/m-1190809156/s-30/highlight-dovescot/#num30
Webmaster Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 most sites you have to rose, When registering on this site you have the registration agreement, and the code of conduct. --- Just to let all know. I think we all need a little time to reflect this subject matter on this topic, therefore I'm locking it for a bit.
