Advice please on pigeon rings

Please can anyone advice me on how to purchase pigeon rings, not name and address rings or stock rings but permanent ones with year and number on them. I will not be racing the pigeons and don’t wish to join a racing club. I have heard about r.r.pa rings are these the type I am looking for? and if so how do I go about getting hold of some?

Thanks in advance

Dave

Depends what kind of pigeons you have,RPRA rings are only for racing pigeons or show racers.I f u have any other breed of pigeon then NPA rings would be more appropriate or rings specific to your breed from your breed society, you need to clarify what breeds you have so you can be put in touch with the appropriate orgonisation, you also need to realise that these rings need to be put on the birds at about 5 days old [depending on breed].

Hi chrissy,

they are racing pigeons but i don't at this point intend on racing them. I am just keeping them for pets. I always think pigeons look naked without a ring on. I used to race pigeons a long time ago and are just starting to get into them again.

Thanks for the information
