chubs Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 Hello everyone, My names james , i'm 26 & i live near doncaster in south yorkshire, i've kept roller pigeons & fantails etc on/off for about 6 years but have never competed at any level, I really want to start with racing pigeons this year, i am a total novice & would love to get in touch with a club or person in my area who can help me out. i also need tips on what to include in my 8 by 6 shed as i want to convert it with keeping a racing kit/breeders. cheers, james.
Guest shadow Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 first thing I wqould recomend is get the biggest loft you can afford and fit in your garden, if you start with the 8x6 you will soon be lucking for more space it would do for a stock loft but you will need more room for a race team and young birds
chubs Posted January 20, 2008 Author Report Posted January 20, 2008 so if my first priority is to train & race could i start off with a natural loft 8x6 race out of it & then think of a stock loft? sorry if these are stupid questions i'm totally green on racing.
lawrie Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 i started with an 8x4 foot loft. have 16 birds.
