THE FIFER Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 I know that, but the world of cheating could go beyond that. Involve money you are susceptible to cheating and nothing is impossible if the prize is worth the risk Simple Your loft is 50 miles nearer the race point, I raise birds in your loft and put my rings on them, I take them to the club and register them for the race, I take my clock to your loft which may have a seperate pad for my use, Far fetched maybe but possible especially if it was a big money race etc also there is such a thing as a impossible velocity, if a bird has done the distance with a much higher velocity than the rest there wold be a check on it, but if its a big race and money the winning birds are liberated at the owners loft by officials and must return to it,
DOVEScot Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 but if its a big race and money the winning birds are liberated at the owners loft by officials and must return to it, Is that standard after a race?

The UNC verifies all of their winners in this way. Hope this helps!

THE FIFER Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Is that standard after a race? in all open races. and officials can check on lofts and birds and pads wich are sealed to the loft at any time, a birds flying 50 miles shorter than it should could come in with a velocity that would be noticed i think,
DOVEScot Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 in all open races. and officials can check on lofts and birds and pads wich are sealed to the loft at any time, a birds flying 50 miles shorter than it should could come in with a velocity that would be noticed i think, Like you said they seem to have it covered, but I am sure there a lot out there looking for ways to beat the systems :-/
THE FIFER Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Like you said they seem to have it covered, but I am sure there a lot out there looking for ways to beat the systems :-/ I agree and thats why there are so many rules to try and stop it, but some dont like rules, but just think what any organisation would be if they didnt have any, and as far as clocks go i would say the ets is the most secure,
