swilcox Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Why dont we run a loft Knock out. People place there names down to enter, your pulled out of a hat and partnered against another member then the guy who records the highest velocity on that weekend from the two members goes through to the next round? Hopefully we will end up with just two and a fly off???? Stuart

Stuart You just have to decide the final week allowing for bad weather hiccups and over what period will decide the maximum number that can enter in your time scale, easy
Wiley Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 also would depend alot on what route you fly, as south and north roaders which would make it unfair for example in a north wind the north roaders would destroy the south roaders velocity
Guest Vic Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Where I race, its bad enough getting drawn against a guy who lives a mile east. But no excuses, if it does take off, put my name in the hat.
Guest Vic Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 There would have to be two seperate contests. One north, One south.
Guest chrisss Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 There would have to be two seperate contests. One north, One south. that would be the fairest way of doing it but how to get it organized?
Guest slugmonkey Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 do it by position and UPR ratings
Guest karl adams Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 you could do 2 lots old bird and then do 1 for young birds
Guest Vic Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 IF TO0 MANY COMPETITORS ENTERED, IT WOULD BE EASY TO PUT THEM INTO BLOCKS, DEPENDING ON NUMBERS AND WEEKS TO BE FLOWN. HIGHEST VEL. MOVES FORWARD, UNTIL THE FINAL.

MOVES FORWARD, UNTIL THE FINAL. I cannot imagine too many competitors 1-2-4-8-16-32-64-128-256-512-1024 in a knock out would only take 10 races, 4096 would only be 12 races or groups of races

NO! it should not be organised at the eleventh hour. Good idea! Maybe for the ybs.

Good idea! Maybe for the ybs. They don't have to be scedualed every week, organiser could select weeks to avoid big races, plus at the end of the day no competition would please every one for some reason or another :-/
