tyson Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 hi all just to let you all know how things wrwe progresing as i think i must have got it just in time as only one bird died and about 5 others were bringing up food so on friday they were put on a course of baytril and kept in loft by monday morning no birds were being sick so decided to let them out in the afternoon to see how they would fly and they did almost 2 hrs not started training them again as i wanted to finnish the course of treatment so far everthing seems to be okay thanks to eveyone who put on posts and pm me thanks tyson
Guest strapper Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 hi all just to let you all know how things wrwe progresing as i think i must have got it just in time as only one bird died and about 5 others were bringing up food so on friday they were put on a course of baytril and kept in loft by monday morning no birds were being sick so decided to let them out in the afternoon to see how they would fly and they did almost 2 hrs not started training them again as i wanted to finnish the course of treatment so far everthing seems to be okay thanks to eveyone who put on posts and pm me thanks tyson one thing that u dont do is let ur birds fly out when treating!...one thing, it can be looked upon as reckless letting them out 2-3 days after 1st signs of sickness. and could in theory spread to someone elses loft(if one of them enters it). i would never let my birds fly out so soon after being sick,the stress could bring the sickness back on ur birds or prolong it. they are your birds and its ur choice, but be careful the sickness may not be in view but can easily creep back on you.
