My understanding of it is breed early, put youngsters on maximum lighting and feed to push them through the moult in time for racing!

I think thats the basics but will be more to it than that!

Yes, I have been keeping stockbirds on 24hr light since I paired them in January and some of them have 6 flights up already!

i was after a film  on the light system its called (  sampson brothers  light system ) but ive not got it yet

u dont her much about the light system just  evrything about the darkness system

The reason you could ruin your season is by not getting them through the moult in time. If they are not ready they will be on the end flight when you need them most!

the bonus  with darkness  is   they are resting and at the same time maturing ,  the opposite  would be acheived  on light system ,  my own thoughts  about it

if i do the lightness system i wil breed 10 or 12 ybirds and put them in there own part of the loft

and still have my darkness team and see how things go
