jimmy white Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 well done dogeon ,,travelling this far to pick up your pigeon,, and off course well done to the non fancier in getting the bird and reporting it,, [deserves a big mention of thanks ] to me , it looks like someone has tried to grab it by its tail, but off course could be many reasons,, but whatever the reason ,,good luck with the bird and hope it makes a speedy recovery looking at the pic again , could well be a hawk with the marks on its back,,
Guest dogeon Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 Thanks for the replys i was really pleased with the lady that took the effert to catch the bird and to phone me and let me know, she didn't report through the rpra, well i did'nt receive a letter just a phone call from the lady. after getting home the bird flew to the loft and the marks on the back are healed so would of thought it happend when i lost it and he's taken refuge at the lady's house to heal it self theres no sign of illness but will keep and eye on him hopefully he will make a speedy recovery
Guest dogeon Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 thanks rose, i just hope he recovers from his ordeal but would be really nice to see him win after what hes been through time will tell
Guest shadow Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 looks like it got lucky from a hawk attack I had one come back with vert serious injuries from a hawk and the following year won from clermont for me, good luck
kev01293 Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 looks like a hawk attack to me dogeon but well done for travelling that far to collect your bird its nice to see a fancier making the effort i reported a stray a couple of weeks back with a badly knocked wing and the owner only lived approx 15 miles away but by the way he was talking anyone would have thought he lived in another country
