hi all

i have had a letter though the rpra about 1 of my birds been found by a pest controller in the letter from the rpra it says refer rule 116 i can ask the pest controller to dispose of it but in the letter from the rpra there is a form from the pest people sating i must send the £5.00 plus vat

but in the rules it says nothing about this has any one had this happen to them and how did they go on

by the way the all my birds carry id rings so i dont know why the rpra got involved and the pest people did not just phone me

if u know of a fancier around that area of the pest controller ask him to pop round the pest guys house and collect it...costing u nothing ..thats if the fancier will do u a favour.

 

may work may not but if u dont try u wont know..best of luck.

this is a known problem! Every day you don't claim it or pay for disposal they will charge you to keep it!

They will not report it direct to the owner as by reporting it through the RPRA you have a responsibility to claim it!

I NO SOMEONE WHO HAD THE SAME PROBLEM IN B-HAM HE STILL HAD TO PAY THE 5 POUND WHEN HE COLLECTED THE BIRD

pay the £5 its better than £23.50 , if hes been paid to remove pests then a racing pigeon is not a pest , as hes already been paid to do the job why would you need to pay him again to complete the job?

thought of a cunning way out tell him you sold it and cant find the new owners details so could he dispose of it as it had no owner , it could back fire but its up to you pay £5 pluss vat or £32 amtrak plus his fee for looking after it.

local councles employ pest control to remove pests when you ask about youer bird seek which authority he is contracted to if he is not he is free lance money maker tell him to let it go or you will seek to have him arrested for theft one pest control in birm pays1 per bird

The guy in Birmingham gets most of his strays from local fanciers! They take them to him to save having to deal with them!

I believe there is even a stray basket in the pet shop just for him!

Why climb churches etc when you have a ready made income from the fancy?

I was told by a very reliable source that if you pay to have the bird disposed of it will end up in a line of six and sent to china for the wok!!! this is not a joke.

 

Also told that one of our local fancy went to the catchers property in question (I thinkin Tamworth) and grabbed him round the neck and demand his bird back which mr catcher kindly did so.

No body kills my birds there mine I grew them.

Tippler, I have met Mark once a few weeks ago for the first time, I dont actually know if it was him,

I over heard a couple of local fancy talking about the incident last year.

 

Why was it?
