PIGEON_MAN Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 Allthough this person found these rings, just wondering how he or she stands by selling someone else,s property, unless he as been intouch with the owner and they have been given to the seller.

Guest chrisss Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 the guy who found them might not know
Guest peter.j Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 if you file a report on ebay one of the reasons you can give is you suspect the property is stolen...pete
THE FIFER Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 I think you probably have trouble finding out the first ring they not been around for years and the 1996 is 12yrs old if it was GB ring you wouldnt be able trace it only keep records for 10yrs unless you re register the ring same with SHU rose,
PIGEON_MAN Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 Just checked the 2001 ring out ,funny its from the same area as the guy who is selling them, wonder if the owner knows the birds dead.
Guest spin cycle Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 I think you probably have trouble finding out the first ring they not been around for years and the 1996 is 12yrs old if it was GB ring you wouldnt be able trace it only keep records for 10yrs unless you re register the ring i don't think the owner will send for it....looks a bit 'flown out'(bunny) allthough how leaving bone on enhances value(puke)
Guest chrisss Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 i had a look at the item,as a guy who uses a metal detector myself, because i have pigeons i would know which ring to report and which not to,however if this guy is a non fancier all they are to him are pigeon rings, they would as a matter of course go into the junk bag,he will have no idea about reporting rings, the bone bit is off but who can account for taste?
PIGEON_MAN Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 Wow --worryed about someone having a rings they don't own???? and 12 years old---what about the Hawk that got the rest of the pigeon????? Original question was how the guy stood selling something on Ebay that might not belong to him, ring is 2001 its now 2008.12 year old dont think so.
