Lack of sun

I stumbled across this picture this morning of a glorious May morning and the birds enjoying the warmth of the sun. We have had so little sun this year that it must have affected the birds condition and health?? Maybe this is the reason so many astablished top flyers have struggled from week to week because of the warmth in the loft????
