Guest Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 ok les tell me and the others on this site how that would be possible ? and surely the big studs would benifit from this oppertunity as well then it would fail due to the high demand , you cant burn one candle all year long first of all the studs dont come into it this is only for lost birds going back to the owners who would be RPRA members and a payed up member to this service ,and i can asure you that if only half of the members singd up for this the others would see that they are loosing out big time . the people thinking of leaving because of the cost of retreval at the moment would have a rethink and we would not loose all of them ,new startes would not have to go through all the hastle over lost bird retreval like we have in the past ,so wont leave in a hurry after a couple of seasons because of that expence ,,new holding lofts in most areas ,new vans kitted out to look after the birds on rout home .[just stop and think and work it out for your self ,but just remember it would only be for the fancy ,let the other companys deal with birds that are bought or not members ]and watch others join from other regions just for this service alone, the membership would gain in numbers not decreas.
OLDYELLOW Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 hope who ever takes over does a good job will have to wait and see but feel the fancier has missed a great chance but such is life oh happy days what could be done other than a new courier joe ?
OLDYELLOW Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 first of all the studs dont come into it this is only for lost birds going back to the owners who would be RPRA members and a payed up member to this service ,and i can asure you that if only half of the members singd up for this the others would see that they are loosing out big time . the people thinking of leaving because of the cost of retreval at the moment would have a rethink and we would not loose all of them ,new startes would not have to go through all the hastle over lost bird retreval like we have in the past ,so wont leave in a hurry after a couple of seasons because of that expence ,,new holding lofts in most areas ,new vans kitted out to look after the birds on rout home .[just stop and think and work it out for your self ,but just remember it would only be for the fancy ,let the other companys deal with birds that are bought or not members ] Studs are paid up members and as such should benifit from a service to all members if they wish to take it up , otherwise it would be deemed as discrimination
joe61 Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 oldyellow i said in one of my past posts if you go back a few pages mate its there i cant be asked to type it again as im off to bed in about 15 mins oh happy days
carlsberg Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 you can have it so you only get the birds back if their reported to the rpra
Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 i think some one should contact royal mail and see what they say on the matter they prob have the largest network in the country
OLDYELLOW Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 and also if stray returns they could simply ring with fanciers rings or transfer before there rung on the birds leg , there are too many flaws in your idear / ideal
Guest Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 IT WOULD BE RUN ONLY FOR RETREVAL OF LOST BIRDS THAT IS THE SUGESTION [NOT A COURIOR SERVICE ]AGREE IF THE STUD WAS A MEMBER AND ALL THEIR BIRDS GOT OUT AND WENT MISSING THEN THEY WOULD BE ENTITLED TO THE SAME SERVICE IF THEIR BIRDS WAS REPORTED ,please think logical about this instead of trying to pick holes in it [THIS WILL NEVER GET OF THE GROUND I REALISE THIS ,BECAUSE IT IS TO DO WITH PIGEONS ,BUT IT COULD IF EVERY RPRA MEMBER PUT THEIR BRAIN IN GEAR INSTED OF SITING ON IT .]
OLDYELLOW Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 theres a cheaper way wont cost a penny every transporter to have a stray basket , job be a good un
