Guest strapper Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 Hi guys i have a question that i was hoping one of you more knowlidgable guys might be able to answer scenario i am only going to fly in national & specialists clubs i dont belong to a local club,i use ets so the question is as a member of the RPRA can i go to my local club which uses ets to have rings allocated prior to racing or do i have to be a member of that local club ps the local club in question is a clock station for the specialist clubs i intend on racing in thanks in advance in the welsh homing union they issue clubs with rings 1st then private members later. welsh clubs are not allowed to order rings for non members of their club. im pretty sure the rpra will be the same..as clubs will be the priority. ur best bet is to ring the rpra to find out.
PIGEON_MAN Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 I dont think there is a rule to prevent you doing what you intend but I suppose it depends on the local club wether they will allocate the rings for you,I am in charge of the clock station for the NFC,MCC and also set clocks for other specialist clubs and I would be only to pleased to help someone out in the same suituation but you would have to contact the person in charge at your local club to see if they will do the same.
pjc Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 I would have thought that if you are not a club member then the national is effectivly your club and they should allocate your (ets) rings to you even if its done at marking.
