globalgirl Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 Hi Guys Can anybody tell me how often you change the oyster shells & charcoal please Ta xxxx 8)
jimmy white Posted May 6, 2008 Report Posted May 6, 2008 i take it you mean , grit and black minerals , when they are feeding youngsters they will eat a lot of this [and will need it] but when not feeding youngsters they will eat a little [but still need it] i think its better to put just enough in the pots that they need ,and give it fresh fresh each day ,, if these pots get damp and soiled , they can be a haven for worm and cocci oocysts [eggs]
globalgirl Posted May 10, 2008 Author Report Posted May 10, 2008 Thanks guys I realised I got the terminology a bit wrong when I went to the farm to buy their food. Oops!! :K)
Delboy Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 You dont need to change the grit and minerals as much in the summer Globalgirl. As long as its kept dry
