Guest Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 Dean Pallet sold the birds over the U.S : Frank M - flied well in the U.S Does Bert Herrison export his pigeons outside the U.K ? if he does wonder how fanciers do with Harrison Vanreets I know Tony do not export his pigeons outside the U.K
Guest Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 South East Open 2005, 7 (I think) states Involved 1st place State of Georgia (flew 502 Miles) in clock with an hour to spare. 9th Open 10 Month old Van Reet bred by Ray Cassons and flown by Ken Johnson from Red Rose Stock down from Dean Pallets stock. Many more wins and places at this distance. Ben let it drop, the Van Reets are super birds who will fly the distance, I flew them over the Brook when I lived in Lancashire.

Well done Linda - brilliant pigeons you got on your website Do you send your svreets birds to 500 mls? Linda or below 300 mls?
Guest Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 We don't have a true 500 mile race Speight, our Van Reets have been to our 400 (385 ) to us and have performed very well. I usually send my Barkers and Family Affair Janssens to our one and only "500" miler which is about 30 miles short to us.
Guest shadow Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 My van reets have won out to 481 miles and clocked on the day (louella bred:)
Guest Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 My van reets have won out to 481 miles and clocked on the day how long vanreet on the wings? Shadow
Guest Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Nine to ten hours Brilliant - well done Shadow
Guest shadow Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Nine to ten hours :)I think ben should think carefully before he makes remarks like that if a flyer is content to club or fed race in sprint races that is his choice. quality not quantity.
bill_bennie Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Speight, back in 1998 we received 4 young birds from a good freind over here in Canada (Tony Pasterko) and these were bred down out of Hession Van Reets. Well that year my partner and I went on to win 1st.&2nd. at our Yong bird Derby with 2 of these young birds direct out of Bert's Van Reets (progeny of the Danial). One of those days when there was not a cloud in the sky and all we seen was 2 dot's way up in the air and very high too. Dropped like bombs, over 1300 mpm. These birds were consistent for us in any type of weather, always there. To win our young bird Derby, which was the classiest race of the year you had to have great pigeons and at the time,,,,,,Bert's were the best here. Yours in the Sport - Bill.
kaybee Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 ben, i had a yearling van reet fly 500 miles twice in the space of 4 or 5 weeks last year being in the result of the national both times. nothing much wrong with the constitution there.

Guest Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Does Bert Herrison export his vanreets outside the U.K?
Guest Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 mardon van reets are the best by a long way and they can score out of 520miles. In FACT : You're right about Mardon vanreets can score out of 520 mls, as same as Dean Pallet and Bert Herrison,
