anyone going to the pigeon show in dortmund germany in jan 09.

Or has anyone ever being there befor ,

like to here what people think of this show if they were there

befor  or heard anything about it

as i am going next year

ive not been but maybe 1 day ive heard from my buddy its the best show around and you can buy the big winners straight out of the pens ..........;ooking forward 2 blackpool and hooking up with the lads especially paul s... :P :P

Yes it was a great trip Hayden,could recomend it to anyone,can't wait for next year,number 1 tip is take plenty of warm clothes

How did the birds from over here do at the show    Did you got to the xmas market they have there used to love going to that when i was working over there

 

I didn't notice many birds from UK fanciers,I was on a buying trip anyway so much of my time was spent around the sales pens,it was very interesting to note the marked differences though between the german and brittish versions of the same breeds which I found particuarly noticable in the show racers [theirs look just like racing pigeons] and the modenas [theirs are half the size of ours]

The christmas market was right outside the hotel door and was really pretty with all the lights and decorations including a 150 foot christmas tree,the stalls were mainly craft types [leather belts/purses,candles,soft toys,wood work,knit ware etc] interspursed with every kind of food stall imaginable,all of which were very tasty,oh and the mulled wine
