Guest Dublin lofts Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 will ets get voted in this year in southern ireland and if so will it be good for the sport here as 3 lads in our club said they would jack it in .
jack Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 i think it is bad for the sport and more money the system is about 500 euro and you only get one pad extra pad are 150 euro it is not for me and it opens windows for cheathing belive me it can be done we need new transportors first
Guest Dublin lofts Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 its not for me either but all the old timers are pushing for it
jack Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 ya you and anto ha ha not over the northside no one wants it but it is going to come in thats for shure
Guest Dublin lofts Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 jack did u fix anto nest box yet
gangster Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 iot will come guys but the cheating part i dont think so ....depends on were the pads are placed as per the union ruling......it wont make your birds fly faster thats a fact....
bird man of meath Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 if e,t,s are 500 how much are clock then
Guest Dublin lofts Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 one lad has a new trap on his loft just waiting for it to come in were he will put the pads on the landing board so the birds are not in the loft when they are clocked and can still fly up on the house roof can this be right
Guest anto Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 its coming boys the sooner the better should have got foted in last year lost out by one vote you cant stop progress
kadet123 Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 its not been recognised by the nwhu but hopefully will be but i doubt it very much
Guest Dublin lofts Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 talking to lads from bray they fly isrf there club will be voting against it ,it a big club
Guest anto Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 very well said vallence there under enough stress as it is
jack Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 if it comes in to dublin i can see alot of people geting out of pigeons for this reson alone i am happy the way things are. dont get me wrong i think the system works very well and for (dublin lofts )you can not have the pads outside your loft the bird has to go true the trap but how will people no were it is on race day is someone going to go around to check all 500 lofts in dublin every week i do not think so it will be a mess in dublin you can count on it as it is even hard to get people load the transporter
Guest Matador Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 Hi, At Telford last weekend I was told by Ray Knight, Unikon are going to let flyers have HP. This should help with the cost as you can pay it off bit by bit. It will help the younger flyers and the Older ones as well. Budgie Crathorne
Guest Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 Pads should be sealed inside the loft by club official(s) in a set position and a random check done to see if they are tampered with. That should eleviate people from moving them
Merlin Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 I would have no objection to using E.T.S. its down to a vote, its called Democracy,if passed the choice is there to use it,or not to,I personally would if only for the fact its less stressful on the birds.
Guest spin cycle Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 Hi, At Telford last weekend I was told by Ray Knight, Unikon are going to let flyers have HP. This should help with the cost as you can pay it off bit by bit. It will help the younger flyers and the Older ones as well. Budgie Crathorne IMO this is a good move, i think taurus has also done this. the more accessible ets is to all the better. i think that pads should be placed wherever the fancier likes as the current rule is just about un-enforceable. democracy only counts for ets until it wins...for instance last year you may have voted ets out...but its back this year. if its voted in this will there be a vote next year to remove it....no. there does IMO need to be some time allowance and the removal of obligation from club officers to use it (clubwise). ets will be accepted a lot quicker if its 'champions' are willing to compromise JMO.
A WHITTAKER Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 HY YOU DONT HAVE TO RUN AROUND 500 LOFTS .IF EACH SEC OR PRES SEALS THE PADS INTO PLACE IE INSIDE THE LOFT. AND THE SEAL NUMBERS NOTED DOWN FOR REFORENCE THATS ALL THAT HAS TO BE DONE. I HAVE HAD THE ETS FOR 7 YEARS NOW AND IT IS THE BEST SYSTEM FOR THE BIRDS AND MYSELF .
gd Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 cannot imagine why anyone in their right mind would be against ets, other than they simply don't want to change. I'm recently coming back into the sport and am looking forward to using ets rather than chasing around after a bird knackered after a hard race to enable a quick strike of the clock. plus I work away from home so this will enable my wife to time in the returns from a race , she's okay with feeding and exercising the birds but thats about as much a she will do , so it'll more or less double my races
Guest pigeon82 Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 i was told off my dad that there was a bloke in cornwall somewhere who had ets and his system went wrong in a race stopped or summit he won by miles but he was then kicked out the club be careful with ets i think not for me cudnt risk that
jack Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 so how dose this be sealed in your loft then whittaker
Taylorsloft Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 i think it is bad for the sport and more money the system is about 500 euro and you only get one pad extra pad are 150 euro it is not for me and it opens windows for cheathing belive me it can be done we need new transportors first well tell us how its done .you can cheat with rubbers no prob
jack Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 you can but the pads on the out side of your loft or landing bord
Taylorsloft Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 wont do you any good if your birds 20 mins behind ;D
jack Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 well mine never are but i dont always get good traps do you
