I have an old racesheet, dating back to 1956, which , although not in prestine condition. will open some eyes on this thread. Could one of you, explain to Vic, the best and easiest way of how to present this, via my PC.

scan it send to me and ill post it if you wish ;) it wont be very big , enough room for 12 birds i bet  ;)

I have already scanned it! But I want the BASICS members to scan it, and see how far we have moved forward. Where do I start? It is printed on a normal A 4 sheet. Most  guys like myself, can't take the computer doctrine in, especially the lucky ones who can't find their toothbrushes in the morning. When most of us have no teeth. lol

cant see how we could scan it unless we had the original or you physicaly posted it to each of us  ;)

i cant answer Jimmy but the red kite is not a native species so shouldnt have any protection , but i bet it is protected

Posted
hi duncan , just 1 question has the pigeonhawk ever been on the protected list ? IE: ( the red kite )

Yes they are protected on the Black Isle  :-/

Posted

i think the red kite is native mark as it was hunted to near extinction, bit like the eagle owl if we listen to the rspb (god forbid ) then both species are not native but have been cronicled in their locality for a few hundred years. ;)

Posted

ours was a british red kite the European one was reintroduced and is here with no passport so should be sent back as we hunted ours to extinction and now i can see why , they should let the game keepers control again ;)

Aye a Master  some would say ;)

Very clever Dunc. Yer talents are wasted min. Ye should be own the telly.

i think you will find the british red kite survived in a small enclave called snowdonia and then the rspb had to use some of the government grant to give it a chance to go forth and multiply. ( they are big

fkers i'll tell you mate )

welll there foreigners over Linconshire when there was released lol , i thought they had completely gone in this country the European ones bred in captivity when i saw news releasing them quite a few years back are bigger birds apparently than there British cousins
