unfortunatly thats pigeon racing, just give them time and be patient with them.

I remember when I first moved to London, i started again with youngbirds. So I thought to help hold them i'd have a pair of young fantails froma friend of mine, stated to let the fantails out as babys, they walked around the front of the loft and the lawn then one day i opened the loft door, they walked to the doors edge, looked around, both took off together and were never seen again!

The young racers had to just settle themselves, and did so without problems.

i know mate its just a bit dis hearting at times i am getting to attached to them i know i shouldnt but being my first year its hard not to and when u loose them its devastating but im not put of by it just cant wait to get racing

You will get there Damian, you have a good set up and the birds looked immaculate when I saw them last week, they will settle down mate - like a previous poster said, that's pigeon flying for you - good luck with your new additions.

hi karl i have lost one of the dark checks had one toss came home second toss same place not seen him since the other dark chek nest mate  i think hit some wires and took the feathers of  her chest but is ok now the pied and the blue are great have not let em down yet they are the kings of the young bird loft

hi leighton i got 3 from u remember and im down to one the nest mate of the one with the frill i lost the other 2 from the loft a good few weeks ago and not seen them since i almost lost the one i have now due to it being ill but it was treated for canker and its out flying again.
