OLDYELLOW Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 if doweled and no solid section walls then one bomb if solid sections then one in each
peterpau Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Is your birds natural immunity so poor, they need to live in a sterile environment, like Michael Jackson. He clearly looks a picture of health.
OLDYELLOW Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 styerile enviroments don't work look at hospital superbugs , but removing a few moths tics or lice is hardly lowering the birds immune system quite the opposite its making the birds more able to rest and not been disturbed bt scatching or itching , puncture holes in a birds wind effects its wings uplift and downforce so a nice lice free wing helps a birds performance
OLDYELLOW Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 because theres mites which wont be on the birds but in crevaces these take blood from the birds and make them tap there feet when there resting at night , which will reduce the birds performance
Guest Owen Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 regarding smoke bombs. The modern smoke bombs are not very good, I have found. You would be better using Poultry Shield or a product like it. The walls of the loft including the nestboxes and perches could have red mite hidding in them. Poultry Shield applied with a sprayer will sort them out. The floor should be treated against cocci and worms. A good distinfectant will do that for you.

Colsacre Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Best to use an Ivomectine treatment on the bird to kill the blod suckers
venus Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Sterile envitoment might lower your bird natural immunity. Want going to be harmful for your brid, you should remove it. Why kill something, want not doing no harm?
