"Due to the weakness of sterling against the euro, there is now a lot of interest in UK wheat for export. Last week 50000 tonnes were exported to spain and this has forced the price of UK wheat up by £30.00 per tonne from pre christmas levels. due to the wetness of the ground during the sowing period and poor growing conditions since, there are now fears of low yields for new crop in July/August. This has mean that some growers intend to keep hold of their current crops to sell later as they believe prices will be higher"

 

Just thought i'd post a small bit of information we have recieved.

i have bought in a load in anticipation of the great European price hike they'll buy it sell it back to us mugs at a inflated price

nar i bought from farm before the great price hike shame most of  maple crops failed over my way i should of bought a pea mountain , next season i will  ;)
