jimmy white Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 We are having big problems with falcons in this area. Most birds are kept in, including mine. A couple of the fellas are using rockets but it is causing problems with the neighbours. I have thought of using a laser light to distact them when they attack my birds. What do you think? Do you think it would work? And where can I get one that will do the job? maybe worth a look at article 2.2 on patty bhoys post

les Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 with due respect les,, how could you manage this with all perigrines, the length and breadth of the whole country :-/simple ,you wont get rid of them all but you can put a big hole in the numbers [if every one got of their *expletive removed* and atleast tried ,there was 3 in my area now i dont see 1 ,also 6 sparrow hawks they have gone except for 1 and it is going to join the others ,along with the odd remaining goss that i have seen on the odd ocasion flying over ] just a matter of time ,fore two years i could not let my birds fly around the loft ,i had to risk taking them training 2 times a day to get them fit ,then i decided enough was enough and came up with a soloution ,and keept using it ,with very good results .ATB les.
Merlin Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I can vouch for what Les says, having used and seen it work, you might reconsider and repeat it again Les,the more that does this, the more this problem will diminish.
