There was a crisis in the council yard here last week. The workmen were in the van on their way to a job when the youngest one said ' wait a minute we have left the yard without our shovels what are we going to do'. After much discussion and three cups of tea, 2 fag breaks and a kip in the van the gaffer announced ' I know I will phone the office and see what they advise us to do. Of the gaffer went to phone the office and tell them of the problem of having no shovels. back he came and announced to the group ' I spoke to to foreman in the office he said we will just have to lean against each other until he gets some shovels delivered to us'

snowing on tyneside since about 10 this morning, newcastle airport was closed for a while, back garden looks as good as next doors now!!!!LOL
